This hand-crafted vacation home perches on a splendid lakeview site. The owner's desire for a retreat with a crafted lodge ambiance, led the decision to use timber-frame construction for this vacation home. Preserving the natural landscape was a priority with both the owner and architect.
The architect designed this timber-frame home to capture spectacular lake and mountain views. Exposed timbers at the sheltered entry hint at the intricate frame-work found inside. Public rooms flow together are positioned to catch the sun and lakeside panorama.
While there are only two designated bedrooms, a second floor mezzanine and a third floor loft can be converted into sleeping spaces when the house is full. The large wind protected deck adjoining the living space receives full sun in the morning and early afternoon, then becomes shaded for the hottest part of the day. The smaller lookout deck catches the late afternoon sun and refreshing down lake breezes.
Waterfront has a lakeside picnic area and provides guests with a dock to use and one (1) moorage buoy.

* sleeping pads could be placed on the mezzanine for kids.
